Starting Over at 39: Finding My Voice, My Power and The Grandeur in Everyday Life
Starting Over at 39 and Finding my voice, my power.

Lady D
I never thought I’d be 39 years old, standing in the quiet space between everything I used to be and everything I’m becoming.
I’m a boy mom, a lifelong creative, a woman who’s taken care of everyone else for years. And now, I’m starting over.
This isn’t the kind of “starting over” you see in rom-coms with a dramatic haircut and a last-minute job in a new city (Who knows, maybe I’ll cut my hair next). This is deeper. This is the quiet, sacred kind of starting over. The kind that happens when you realize: I can’t keep quieting my voice, shelving my gifts, or living on autopilot.
For me, starting over means giving my voice a mic again, not just to talk, but to speak truth. It means remembering the girl who used to dream big, create freely, and feel wildly alive. And it means giving her space to breathe again.
This is my letter to her and to you, if you’re also starting over.
Maybe you’ve stepped away from a job, a relationship, or a version of yourself that just doesn’t fit anymore. Maybe your career path took a turn, your kids are growing up, or your soul is whispering that there’s more. Maybe you’ve been successful, but now find yourself unemployed and unsure.
Wherever you are, you’re not alone.
Here, we’re doing the beautiful work of rebuilding, not from scratch, but from wisdom.
We’re gathering the pieces we love about ourselves and building something truer.
We’re embracing the mess and the magic, the tears and the triumphs.
We’re finding the grandeur in everyday life, even when it doesn’t feel grand at all.
This space is for women in transition, women rediscovering their voices, women learning to trust themselves again.
I’ll be sharing reflections from my journey, creative rituals, home styling, healing tools, and heart-centered ideas for how to live well, from the inside out.
We’re not late. We’re not broken. We’re just in a chapter called, becoming. And it’s going to be beautiful.
Let’s rise - together ✨
With love and grace,
Lady D
